Since modern times, China has faced unprecedented changes and crises, and Chinese civilization has been questioned and criticized. In this context, in order to maintain the basic value of Chinese civilization, some people seek a place for Chinese civilization under the strong discourse of modern western ideology, so they adopt the“defensive”way of civilization discussion. Generally speaking, such civilization discourse highly relies on modern western ideology. We need to find the content that can prove the basic value of Chinese civilization from the latter, and then try our best to make the corresponding elements of Chinese civilization conform to these contents. Although this method has its own painstaking efforts, it is not conducive to maintaining the inherent logic and historical integrity of Chinese civilization.
