It seems that“human nature”has become a sinking subject in modern western ideological and academic circles. The reason is that it originates from the rejection of metaphysics, and that it is rejected because of its political position. In any case, respect for facts and freedom of discussion should be the necessary conditions for the development of ideological and academic studies. China’s human nature research needs to respect and absorb the wisdom of tradition and the West, but it is not necessary to stick to the existing research results and methods, but can strive to promote the understanding of human beings and even achieve some new synthesis on the basis of new knowledge background and foundation.
