Professor Joël Bellassen is an emeritus professor in the Chinese Department at the Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales (INALCO), a renowned scholar in Chinese linguistics and education, and the first Inspecteur Général adjoint pour le chinois at the Ministère de l’éducation Nationale et de la Jeunesse. Over the decades, he has frequently traveled between China and France to engage in academic and cultural exchanges. This year marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France. Our magazine has conducted an exclusive interview with Professor Bellassen on the theme of Sino-French civilizational exchanges and mutual learning.
